Special Snowflake here - Word will be out to the family within the next week (gift packages are in the mail to my family, who are all hundreds of miles away). Some friends know. Some coworkers know.

We're just letting things spread organically now. Telling people when we see them, and if it comes up.

I voted special snowflake becase some family knows, but no friends...

And now I'm calling myself out because I just remembered that my 1 friend figured it out and DH told our other friend (who just went public w/his wife's first pregnancy)... So I'm not really a special snowflake at all... Can I change my answer? Um, I'm gonna try to change it...

We told family on fathers day since we had a successful appointment and saw the HB the week before. A few friends know, but we still have more family to tell when we see them when we're 12 weeks. I will tell the rest of the world probably after the next appointment when we hear the HB on the doppler, which would be a few days shy of 15w.

I picked "some friends and family know," but really almost all of them know. There are some that we would rather tell in person whenever we happen to see them. DH told all of his friends at law school when I was about 4 weeks along. I was not happy about that. We told our closest friends right away, too, before our parents even knew.

We told everyone on Father's day. Well, we sent our dads "happy father's day Grandpa" cards with a picture of the sonogram but we knew that once they knew, it would be common knowledge.

Today is the "grand reveal." Haha! I just sent out an email to my friend's from college and DH has been calling his HS buddies this afternoon. Hopefully tonight we can just throw it up on FB and be done with the secrets. Our NT scan yesterday went great and the doctor's estimate even put me at 13wk3days, so it seems like a good time.

Wish me luck! My mom was so psyched to finally have permission to tell her friends!

*My* parents know and my three best friends - the ones who knew about my m/c. We will wait until second tri to tell others. Last time we told DHs parents at Xmas and had them swear to secrecy. Not even 10 minutes went by and their friends walk in the room and they spill the beans. I guess they then had to until everyone four weeks later. Needless to say, they will be some of the last to know.

Only our parents, brothers & sister know. No extended family or friends know. We'll wait until our 2nd appt at 12 weeks (on July 7th) to tell extended family & the following week to tell our friends.

As of this morning, some family knew and some friends, but I just "came out" on facebook today, so now it is more common knowledge. A friend who found out through a different friend posted congrats on my wall last night [idiot] so I figured I would announce on my own terms, rather than it leak. I really didn't want to do a fb "announcement" but the post on my wall, and a few of my other friends who were "bullying" me, made me realize it was a fast and easy way to tell the masses. I did enjoy keeping the secret, but it feels great to have the news out there--I don't feel so awkward and sneaky anymore!

once i heard the HB at 11w5d we told the parents, and after the 12-week NT scan and everything looked like a baby, moved like a baby, we told close friends. waiting until a few more weeks to let acquaintances, work ppl, etc. know.

We are going to share the news with our parents and siblings Tuesday after our appointment. We already had one ultrasound because of some light spotting, so as long as everything still looks good it's go time. I know once I tell my parents they aren't going to be able to keep it to themselves, so my whole family will know by Tuesday night. I've already spilled the beans a couple times, so it'll be nice to not have to watch everything I say.

Public knowledge here.... but not by choice. We were going to just tell family and two close friends, but within moments of getting off the phone with DH's sister she had it blasted on facebook and put comments on both our pages!!!

It's public knowledge, if anyone doesn't know they figure it out when they see the bump. I actually had that happen with a co-worker from another branch I hadn't seen in month earlier today.

All of our close friends and family know, and I announced at work yesterday since a coworker of mine told me that it was pretty clear to most people that I was pregnant haha. We will be doing a FB announcement after our NT scan on Tuesday, provided that LO looks good.

Public knowledge, also not by choice. We already told family and close friends but were waiting for 2nd tri to really start telling people, but we went on a mission trip last week with our youth group and let the adults know so that I wouldn't be put in charge of something too strenuous. Well Sunday at church the preacher (who was with us on the trip) said something about how my hub was going to be a father this year and my face got so hot! I'm sure I turned red. He ran up after the service and apologized over and over. He said as soon as he got down to the pew his wife was like "That was NOT public knowledge!" Oh well, it is now! And you know what? I'm okay with it.

I've told my sister (because I'm her Matron of Honor and she was wanting everyone to buy dresses) and 3 coworkers (needed an OB rec from one, and the other two were catching on to my symptoms/frequent doctor visits).

DH is OOT at training and I almost feel like I'm cheating on him by telling his parents without him here. It's OUR news, and I have to tell them by myself

I'm waiting to tell my family in person when I see them next month.

My family know and my coworkers now. Everyone else that I am aquainted with does not know. I'm getting the urge to do a FB annoucement, but I'm on the fence considering how much it bugs me to see other people before I got pg.
