Hey Ladies! I have a question for those of you with older little ones. Our house is on the market, and when we move, we are looking at moving Parker to a big boy bed. My husband wants him to move into a toddler bed because its not as far off the floor. I want to go ahead and get him a bigger bed because he can use it longer. Which one do you recommend and why? TIA!
Re: Toddler Bed vs. Twin/Full Bed
IMO, if his crib converts to a toddler bed then go that route for now.
If it doesn't, then I would forgo buying a toddler bed and go to the big boy bed. I agree with Tiffs suggestion too. I have heard of many people starting out with the bed on the floor for a little while.

We moved Avery into a full size bed from a crib.
We are having another baby in November and reusing the crib so I didn't want to convert it to a toddler bed, then take that away from her so soon.
Also - we had the full size bed already. She is doing GREAT in the full size bed. It's not high off the ground - it's an older antique bed so it's lower to the ground and we put a rail up.
I can't imagine her sleeping on a crib sized mattress any more. She sleeps totally sideways and spreads out. She pretty much takes up the entire full size bed.
When baby #2 is ready for a big kid bed, we'll convert the crib to a full and buy a new bedroom suite for one or the other
I think a mattress (and box spring) on the floor would be perfect then.
FWIW - Avery CAN get out of bed but she doesn't.
