i did maternity photos with both pregnancies and am really happy i did. they aren't pictures i gave out or have displayed around my house, but i do have a nice album the photographer made for me that i love. fun to look back and see what you looked like.
i use www.bellababiesphotography.com and really like them a lot. it's all women in the studio. the photographer, kristi is awesome and even makes my camera shy hubby comfortable. she's taken pics of both of my kids since they were born. can't say enough good about them. plus they have a good package for the first year.
I'm so glad we took our maternity pics and even more grateful I took them when I did (35.5 weeks) since I delivered at 38 w 2 days. I loved being pregnant and the pictures were a way to celebrate that.
Edit: We went with a friend from college for our maternity pictures though we had KelleyA booked. We were helping him expand his portfolio and though we loved our pictures, after we had Kelley do our newborns DH and I both wished we had kept our booking with her for maternity too. So, I highly recommend kdloftis photography.

I did mine with kdloftis as well and HIGHLY recommend her. I did them to remember the moments. I have had a pretty good pregnancy and this is my only pregnancy. I wanted to remember it, or at least have them captured. I haven't given these photos out to anyone. (In fact I haven't even ordered them yet, yes I am slacking!!) I know which ones I want, and where I want to display them in our home. These are more for me, than anyone else. I had mine done at 34 weeks. I took H with me and it was worth it. Here are my sneak peeks on her blog if you want to check them out...
