I need recipes for an "upscale appetizer"

Sadly, this time, chips/dip or deviled eggs ain't gonna cut it.

Any easy-ish to make "upscale appetizers" ideas that one can bring to a party?

Thanks in advance!!!

  • What about pinwheels? They are still simple but look quite fancy.

  • Bacon or prosciutto-wrapped asparagus

  • not sure what this is called but this dip is really really good.

    • one small tube of strawberry cream cheese.. you can get the reduced everything one
    • one small jar of marshmallow cream

mix these together. put them in the microwave so they can soften.. mix well. spinkle some cinnamon on it.

I usually serve this dip with strawbeeriers wbut you can do grapes or anything you think would go. gram (sp) crackers sound good too.

  • Roast asparagus wrapped in prosciutto (just roast w/ evoo and salt/pepper for 15 minutes at 400 degrees. Cool and wrap)

I take pitted green olives and stuff them with blue cheese and crushed smoked almonds. Always a hit (make several batches, they go quick)

I make these goat cheese/herb balls all the time, and people LOVE them:

Finally, my star: Pea and mascarpone cheese bruchetta, topped with procuitto:

Just cook up a bag of frozen peas (or fresh even better, if you can find them). While still hot, scoop in a tub of mascarponecheese, and then mash (I use my potato masher). Serve over toasted ciabatta bread, with a thin slice of procuitto on top. Awesome for summer.

  • Oooh, also dark-chocolate dipped dried apricots.
  • Onion and Brie Pinwheels

    Red Pepper and Feta Hummus

Also, super easy but SO good. Layer Boursin Cheese, a jar of basil pesto,  anf then a jar of diced roasted red peppers. We serve it with wheat thins. MMMM.

  • What about artichoke dip served with artisan bread or spinach dip served in pumpernickel bread? You hollow out a round loaf of bread, put the dip in it and use the hollowed out bread as dipping bread.

  • Garden Pizza!!! (served cold)

    2 pkgs. crescent rolls
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
    1 pkg. Ranch dressing
    Shredded cheese

Any fresh veggies that you want... I like to use:
    Plum tomatoes, diced
    Cucumbers, diced
    Green peppers, diced

Spread crescent rolls in 9 x 13 inch baking pan to form crust. Bake as per directions until brown, cool. Mix cream cheese and dry Ranch dressing. Spread over cooled crust, top with vegetables. Sprinkle with cheese. Chill and serve.

I love making tomato/mozzarella mini-kabobs.  Very easy, yummy and fresh.

You really do not need a recipe... but the pic explains it all.
