Painful PP sex linked to bf?

My LO is almost 8 months old - DH have attempted to have sex a handful of times and I find it excruciatingly painful.  I delivered via C-Section so I'm fairly certain it's not some sort of vaginal trauma - but a drop in hormones from breastfeeding.

Has anyone else dealt with this problem?  What did you do?  We have entertained each other in other ways, but both of us are definitely missing sex.  :( 

I don't want to just give up and say we'll have to give up sex for a year every time we have a baby!

    sometimes it is painful...but it is usually uncomfortable.  So we just don't do it as often.  Some KY does help a little bit though.  I never thought that it was BF related though?

    Uncomfortable for me too - I use mineral oil for lube.  That usually helps.  It was painful in the begining though - I never linked it to breastfeeding.

    TOTALLY related to a hormone levels!!!!  Sexy time hurt with DH until my DS was like 10 months old!!!!  At 10 months we ditched the condoms and used TONS of lube.  Now, I thought I was using tons when we used condoms, but apparently it wasn't enough.  As soon as we ditched the condoms, it stopped hurting!  (I had a vaginal delivery, just an FYI.)  I totally believe that the more lube we used, the better off I was...within reason here.  So, grab some lube...slather him up...and go to town!  ;)

    I asked my Dr about this when I was nursing and he said make sure to do lots of foreplay and lots of lube.  I also found that when we were using condoms it was terrible painful but when we ditched them and just used lube it was better.  I would say use lots of lube take it slow and have fun.
