Newborn Photographers

in Detroit Babies

I didn't think this was something on my to do list yet but a friend pointed out to me yesterday that many of the really great photographers book fast for newborn sessions. 

Any of you have suggestions on who to use?  I was thinking either Mod 4 or Emily Dowd but seems to me there are some other great names that I should consider.

    We used Amanda Williams.  We called her after Lucas was born and made an apt for the next week.  She came to the house.  Good Luck!

    Mod 4 is great and so is Misty Minna Photography.  Misty is actually a photographer I am working with right now - I have a blog and she is offering all my blog readers 10% off a package and a free 8x10.     I loved Mod4 for my two year old daughter, but was really disappointment with my newborn photos I had taken of my second daughter just a month later!!  This was a year ago and I believe I was one of the first newborns they had done, but I still think their is something to be said of the ones that just take photos of little ones!!  Here are some other great options ->

    August Tea (follow her blog all the time)

    Paty's Portraits (follow her blog all the time)

    Jennifer Estelle (I have used her twice now)

    Purple Tree Photography (follow her blog all the time)

    The best thing I can tell you is that you get what you pay for with photographers!!  I have also found that you get the cutest newborn photos within the first two weeks well they are still sleepy all the time.  My last bit of advice it to consider doing them at your house where you are most comfortable!!

    Have you seen Footprints Photography. www.footprintsphotography.com Her work is phenomenal. She is so good with kids. There was an article about her in Smart photography and they called her the Baby Whisperer. She also founded a charity where photographers photograph sick and dying children for free..

    Yup!  He's 2 weeks old today :)

    He's a cutie! It's funny I'm so used to seeing your pic and i had to do a double take when I saw him! Lol
