So at my appointment yesterday they did try to find baby's heartbeat with the doppler. Dr couldn't find it so I got an ultrasound. Baby measured 2 days behind and I practically started hyperventilating until she did a 2nd measurement and baby was on track. That was my first freakout during this pregnancy. lol. I think it's because DS always measured ahead so I assumed this baby would too. Baby did had a nice fast heartrate of 180BPM. ![]()
Also, random question: did anyone notice that the dr's office way of dating pregnancy with that little circle chart is way off? They were trying to tell me yesterday that I would be 11w1d with an EDD of 1/15 when yesterday would have only been 10w5d. Needless to say, when I had that 11w1d in my head and baby only measured 10w3d the first time she measured, I got all nervous.
Re: Update from yesterday: (re: doppler at 10.5 weeks)
I know how scary that was for you. That happened to me on Monday. I was 10 weeks on the dot and they could not find the heartbeat on the doppler so they went to the u/s and found it right away. I was relieved none the less.
My dr. says that the circular wheels they use to date pregnancy are not always correct...it wasn't for me either. But it said I was less pregnant than I actually was, probably because I ovulated earlier than they are predicting. I'm so glad everything turned out fine for you.
