1st time being pregnant...1st Miscarriage at 7wks.

Anyone familiar with how soon the "Green Light" can come back on after miscarrying?

Mine started on Father's day of this year...(last Sunday) with dark brown blood and red blood began on Wednesday....went to the emergency room yesterday to confirm. Still having my miscarriage "period".

Now, I'm just trying to figure out if I now count this as my next indicator of ovulating...as we would if it were a normal period.

New to all of this...

    First off I am sorry for your loss.

    I would ask your doctor on what they recommend as you will get alot of diffrent answers. My doc was ok with 1 period, and other doctors want you to wait at least 3 months.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board.

    Like Sunflower said, your doctor will be able to tell you what's best based on your specific situation. Mine had me wait 2 full cycles (and the miscarriage bleeding does not count as the first cycle) but some people's doctor let them try again immediately. It really depends...

    So sorry for your loss.  I would check with your Dr, like other ppl have said.  When I had my m/c a nurse from my OB office said they recommend waiting 2 normal cycles (m/c bleeding didn't count as one) and then when the Dr. called to talk about my bloodwork she said to wait 3 cycles.  So even within the same practice you can hear different things.

    I'm sorry for your loss. I agree with others' post, my dr. told me after 1 cycle since I was very early in pregnancy.

    I'm sorry for your loss (((hugs))). I would highly suggest you follow your doctors orders on when it is okay for you to start ttc again. It's different for everyone. We had to wait 3 cycles before ttcal.

    So sorry for your loss. Sad

    These ladies have it right, while the first day of miscarriage bleeding counts as CD1 if you're charting, this is NOT your first cycle. You have to wait for your actual first post-m/c period to arrive before you start counting your cycles.

    For the record, my OB told me to wait 2 full cycles before trying again.

    I would advise you to do whatever your dr recommends because each m/c and each woman is different.  I am sorry for your loss, the m/c/pg loss board was very helpful to me when we lost our pg.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. It's important to talk to your doctor since he/she knows your situation. Be sure to let your body have time to heal. Also be aware of how you and DH are feeling. Sometimes a break is more needed than you realize. (((hugs)))
