I have been averaging anything from 3 1/2- 5 hours per night. My son was born a week ago & since my milk came in, I think he is more satisfied and calm after a feeding, leading to more sleep. He still sleeps most of the day though and is most awake at night
Re: Newly Breastfeeding moms-how much sleep are you getting?
@ first our LO was waking up every hour/ hour and a half. NOW I can get two three hour stretches in (with one waking), or a four hour block and a three hour.
How are you getting such long stretches in between? Any tips?

Mikaela is going to have a little brother!
More than I expected! She's asleep by 11:00 and sleeps at least four hours after that--the last two nights it's been six hours--and then anywhere from two to four hours in the next stretch. Last night she was down at 10:30, we nursed at 4:30, and for the first time I am awake before she is this morning. I'll be waking her up soon, though. But, not bad for a 3 week old!
She does make up for it during the day, though--we can rarely go longer than two hours without feeding in the daytime.
