H and I went to Target to get a few items for a wedding we are attending on Saturday. When we got there, he insisted on pushing the cart. Even though I always put my purse in the "child seat".

After a while of isle shopping, we find a few things and I take over cart pushing to the isle with the registry items. While I'm trying to identify sku#'s, H takes the cart from in front of me and pushes it to the end cap where we can NO LONGER SEE IT. WITH <Y PURSE STILLL INSIDE! WHY??? WTF? The whole damn isle was open except for one lady! What was the point of that??!?!

So I tell him to get the cart so my purse doesn't get stolen--seriously, without obsenities. And he in a loud voice says, "RELAX."

Oh.

Oh ho.

Relax?!?! As my purse is carried off with my wallet inside??!!? He says it quite loud enough so the lady can hear him crystal clear. Now I'm pissed and embarrassed.

He then tries to carry on like there is nothing wrong. I can't do that especially while on clomid. So I go mute. Until we get into the car.

Then it's this HUGE argument all the way home. (We are still avoiding each other right now. . . this is a VERY rare occasion that we do fight but MAN!) He's on the defense the whole time try to act like I was so rude and overreacted. Whatever dude, whatever. BAH!

Am I crazy? Or was this the stupidest thing ever.

My DH ALWAYS does that and it drives me NUTS. I can't tell you how many times I will go to an entirely different aisle than him, only to turn around and see him standing there with no cart. You're not crazy. It pisses me off without Clomid.

Not to be mean or anything but this has me laughing. I'm picturing you and your husband taking off to different islands while you're mad at each other.

I never took clomid a day in my life, but i SWEAR that I have had that very same argument along with the silence last saturday. We've had the same arguement for the same issue at least 4 times already. Hun you are not crazy men just do some of the DUMBEST things. Now had it been my fiance's work drill in the cart and i walked away he would have probably screamed like a girl at the top of his lungs at me.

He says, "I've done that before and it's been fine. . . blah blah blah."

Been there, and had that argument pretty much every time we shop together. Why he HAS to push the cart is beyond me. You push the cart you are responsible for my purse in it!! Angry

DH has to push the cart whenever we are shopping. He won't let me do it at all. Because of this, I keep my purse on my shoulder. Easier than fighting about it!

I hear you! My DH doesn't get the whole "purse in the cart" thing either. When I remind him, though, he's like "oh right - sorry!" and goes and get it. Sorry your DH was being a jerk about it. That was uncalled for - esp when he knows you're on clomid! Hopefully things are better between you guys today.

I'm with you, you're not being crazy.

DH and I had this exact fight years ago (no Clomid involved), including the silence and him pouting like a baby.

Then my purse actually got stolen. (Not out of a cart at a store.) When he saw what an absolute nightmare it was for me to get everything straightened out, he understood why I got mad about him leaving my purse unattended. It doesn't happen any more, though I will usually remind him to keep an eye on it if I leave it in a cart or somewhere when I will step away from it out in public.
