I stabbed DH again =(

I have my appointment to talk about my IUD/check placement on Thursday next week. I'm 99% sure I'm going to have it removed. The stabbing combined with the side effects are just making it totally not worth the benefits. Back to condoms for us!

    What side effects are you having? I am thinking about having my Mirena removed because I don't trust it and I think it's affecting my sex drive as well.

    My sex drive is way way low now. My anxiety is way way high. I had anxiety issues when I was on the pill pre-DS. I felt so normal in the time I was off the pill (even when I was pregnant). Now I feel like a crazy again. I've had some pretty serious cramps. And I've never had a PP period. My last menstrual period was March 18 of 2009. It's nice not having a period for 15 months and counting, but I think it's causing my bloating.

    I would probably think that I was just normaly anxious or had a low sex drive. But when I was on no hormonal meds I felt amazing. Like a completely different person.

    I also have mitral valve prolapse and I really think the progestin in the Mirena is exacerbating my symptoms.

    And somehow my Mirena keeps stabbing DH! When I was checked for placement 6 weeks after I got it, my OB couldn't find the strings, did a u/s and a pelvic exam and said the IUD had moved to the top of my ute. So obviously it's moved, I'm hoping it's not lodged somewhere it shouldn't be.

    Yeah, I've never been able to feel my strings, I'm definitely been more irritable and I feel like it's part of the sex drive issue. I'm thinking I might have mine removed and go back to a normal BC pill.

    I originally made the appointment to have the placement checked because of the stabbing issue (and thats the soonest they could get me in. I really hope it hasn't moved somewhere dangerous!) but I'm just going to have it removed. I can't handle it anymore.
