DS typically wakes at 6:45ish, then takes a morning nap at 10 for 1-1/2 hours. then another nap around 2:30ish for an hour... Bedtime between 7:30-8.
A couple times in the last week his morning nap has been crap (maybe 30 min..?) but then took a 2.5+ hour afternoon nap. He seems too young to transition to just 1 nap a day.... and he honestly is tired at 10... but I just wonder if I could hold him off if he would start taking a longer nap in the afternoon... Maybe if I do it slowly?
When did your DC drop the 2nd nap and only take one a day?
TIA
Re: At what age did your baby just take 1 nap?
My kids don't sleep. Both of them gave up nap #1 at 7-8 months and Rylee gave up all naps at 20 months. I am HOPING that P doesn't give up his nap so soon.
Most days Carter only takes 1 nap. However, he doesn't get up for the day until around 9 usually. He takes a nap from 12-1:30 or 2 when it's time for me to leave for work. He will occasionally take a cat nap in the evening for a half hour, but it's not very often.
His nap schedule could be very different because he goes to bed around 8 or 9 and doesn't get up until 9. Since he has 12+ hours of sleep at night he doesn't require a whole lot during the day. He does let me know when he is tired though and has been down to 1 nap a day for about 2 months.

Henry is 15 months this week and he still takes 2 naps that total 2-2.5hrs and sleeps from 6.30p-6.30a. He needs his sleep and at his age it should be around the 12-16 hour mark which he fits into nicely. When he is awake he is very active though so that is probably why he needs so much sleep. If he doesn't get enough sleep in you can tell, cranky baby no matter what so I try to give him down time even if he doesn't sleep the entire time. I used to work in daycare and I could so tell when kids were headed for that meltdown because they didn't get enough sleep. Nothing worse than that so I make sure he gets what he needs.

Exactly this, to the letter.
