Need help with birthday stuff

I am interested in making my LO 1st birthday invitations.  I want to use the Mod Monkey theme, however I am not familiar with the process of creating an invitation and I am also having trouble attempting to find clip art of the monkey to use.  Please help! Thanks!

    What kind of software will you be using?  I might be able to give you some pointers.  If you have the right software you could make your own monkey instead of using clip art.

    I use InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop but you could probably get by with using something like PhotoShop Elements or even Publisher to create a monkey image and then use Publisher or even Word to create the invite layout.  Just find some examples of mod monkeys for inspiration and then try to create something similar by layering basic shapes.

    Have you checked the party stores or Hobby Lobby to see if they have the blank invitations so all you would have to do is print the wording? I just did this for DD' s invites and they came out pretty cute!
