Babymoon ideas?

My husband and I are trying to plan our last little getaway before the babies come.  We want a nice beachy relaxing destination without being too expensive.  Preferably in the south as the northeast is way too temperamental with the weather!

Thanks in advance!!

Re: Babymoon ideas?

  • We live in Dallas and are going to Austin for our babymoon. Renting a condo right on the lake. It is only a3 hr drive for us and will be reasonable in price as well. Plus they have the best outlet mall in San Marcos so I plan on buying lots of stuff for LO!

  • oooh beaches are always fun! but I'm so sensitive to the heat I'm passing on that.  We live in AZ so now have tons of heat going on, we'll be going up to the mountains and enjoying cooler temps in a cabin and some smores for our baby moon in September

  • I always love to go to Virginia Beach - it's so nice there and they have a great boardwalk and lots to do around the beach town.  You can go there for a long weekend and have a great time on the beach.
  • I really want to go up to Maine for a long weekend but am having a tough time finding somewhere to stay that appeals to me. I lived in Portland for a year, so thought that area, or maybe somewhere "downeast" I love hearing what you guys are researching though.

We want to stay in the US since in March we did a big Bday trip for my 30th to St. Lucia, which was amazing. I would like somewhere a little less hot and humid than Maryland, while still getting in some pool time.

  • How about the Carolina's?  I would suggest the gulf beaches of Florida but that is really far for you and who knows what is going to happen with the oil spill.  We don't have any issues right now but I worry for the future. Sad
