I promise I have more important decisions going on right now, but I will admit that this one has stumped me and my pregnancy fog has me unable to make a decision and move on.
I have two diaper creations. One has 90+ diapers in a cake and the other has 20+ diapers on a attached to a painted wire wreath. My showers were 4-6 weeks before my due date and were in the home of a cat owner (I am allergic to cats).
Do normal clearheaded mommies just use the diapers and not think twice about it? Or is it common sense to just toss them thinking that the creations have collected dust that I don't want near little one? Is there some other use for them that I am not thinking of (I am having a boy so would I want to use them as shields when changing)?
Re: Using the diapers from diaper cakes?
Someone made me a diaper cake for my shower and there were also diapers in the centerpieces on the table for my shower. My shower was 5/16 so around 6 weeks before due date. I plan on using the diapers from both as long as LO doesnt have a reaction.
I would make sure there is no pet hair on the diapers and use them?
Please keep your LOs RF as long as possible
This, at some point you will realize that a diaper is a diaper. It is not like it was outside in the rain or that they have been used. The person who made it bought new diapers made the diaper cake and then gave it to you.
Oooh- good idea unrolling them ahead of time! My diaper cake was made out of the Pampers Dry Max but I'm still planning on using them unless LO has a reaction.
Use them up. Diapers are not cheap!
