Taking a trip and looking for advice

DH and I would like to go away for a few days before the babies arrive.  We live in NJ and are looking for something beachy so we are thinking of heading to the West Coast of Florida (probably Naples or Marco Island), so like a 2.5 hour flight.  What do you think is the latest I should vacation, in regards to weeks?  Do you think 22 weeks is too late (that will be the second weekend in December)?  Thanks ladies..

    I would check with your doctor - we went to St. Thomas when I was 19 weeks and all was fine - then I went into PTL at 23 weeks and had my girls at 25 weeks. So you never know! Good luck!

    Oh I also wanted to add that I am going to ask my doctor at my next appointment but that isnt until October 28 so we wanted to figure out if it was even worth it to look into a vacation at that time.

    I was allowed to travel up to 28 weeks however on a business trip at 27 weeks I went into labor by myself in a strange city.

    The attending dr who assisted me told me she always tells her patients that after 23 weeks they are okay traveling but should be prepared to have their twins wherever they are.

     Needless to say, I stayed home after that.

    I travel there quite often and just so you feel better...there are some fantastic hospitals in case something happens....which it won't....but just in case:) I am going in November!! OH...remember to go to the new Nordstrom in Naples! My cousin is the store manager....it's a really cool store!!!
