Can toddlers have selective hearing already? My dad is in town and he watched DD for a few hours so I could run some errands and when I came home he asked if she had ever had her hearing checked. He said she would respond to him and her name immediately if she was facing him but if she wasn't facing him he would have to say her name a time or two to get her attention.
Re: Todddler hearing question
You'd swear DS didn't know his name sometimes. But mention something he likes or recite the words from a book he likes and he's all ears.
Very selective.
Yeah, they have selective hearing.
Try standing behind her and saying "ice cream" or "park" and see if it gets a reaction
