Question about development

What's the average age for a baby to start pointing, gesturing, and mimicking?

My little boy turned 8 months old today and he's not doing ANY of that.  He's really advanced with gross motor skills (should be walking within a month) and is already chattering all the time (though it's all just babble).  As far as fine motor goes, he can pick up food with his whole hand (not with a 2-finger pincer yet), and still has trouble actually getting the food from his hand to his mouth.  He can hold his own bottle, but is still pretty clumsy with it.  He isn't stacking blocks or putting toys inside a container yet.  Toys are simply for banging together at this point.

I don't know if he's just in the "average" range for fine motor and it seems like he's lagging because everything else is so far ahead, or if he's truly falling behind.  I know all babies are different, but I don't know at what age I should start getting concerned.

What do you think?

    DD is 10 months old & isn't pointing yet. She's just starting to do some mimicking & gesturing, but that's pretty new within the last few weeks. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Babies develop at their own pace & every LO is different. Unless, pedi is concerned (which they shouldn't be at this age), I wouldn't be.

    my DS doesn't really point or gesture...he definitely mimicks though. I wouldn't worry about it to much. He sometimes puts toys in containers, but mostly he loves to take them out and throw them behind his back. According to my pedi, he's progressing just fine...so I don't worry about him :-D

    BTW... I know I've seen a link floating around here that has a chart about developmental milestones, but I can't seem to find it.  Can someone link me, please?  Thanks!
