1st Trimester

When did you start feeling better?

I'm 7 weeks along and am feeling miserable due to m/s. Some people say m/s is usually gone around 10-12 weeks and others say 14-16 which totally scares me. Please give me some hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: When did you start feeling better?

  • Um, not yet. Sorry- I had it starting at 5.5 and assumed I would feel fabulous by now. I just puked while running.

  • Mine lasts until I deliver.  But, I get hyperemesis gravidarum.  It's not typical.

I have had some friends have it go on until 20wks though.

  • I think the worst weeks for m/s for me were weeks 11 and 12, but I still feel pretty crappy on a regular basis.  Sorry.
  • I am in week 11 and I am actually starting to feel a lot better. The nausea is way less frequent and I am starting to get a little bit of energy back. Although it isn't all rosy since now I have more stretching and back pain! Good times!
  • the last few days have definitely been better, I don't feel great by any means. but much better

  • Some days I have energy, some days I don't.  It seems to be getting better though.

  • When I hit week 10 the m/s was just gone. :)  good luck
  • Today, actually.  I still threw up when I first woke up(just like every other day since 6 weeks) but I have been eating pretty normally all day.  I don't feel like I'm going to puke every second, which is nice.  Hopefully in the next week I'll stop throwing up and being nauseous all together!
  • Still waiting to feel fabulous all the time! I still have days of m/s, and I'm around 17 weeks. I have more good days now than bad, but the bad are still around.
  • all I can say is Zofran! It's a miracle drug...some days are good and bad for me. Like yesterday I woke up and felt great all daywith no meds then today  I woke up feeling a little grawgy, but didn't take anything until this afternoon I was feeling nauseas so I took a pill and I feel sooooo much better! I'm not big into meds, but the 24/7 sickness I was feeling was horrendous. Good Luck!

  • the worst were weekd 7-9wk for me. then started feeling better around 15wks. still not 100% though at 16wks.
  • My worst m/s ran from about 6 1/2 weeks to 10 weeks. Now in the eleventh week, I still feel like I've been hit by a truck, tired, can't concentrate, and overall crappy but the incessant nausea subsided and life is much better.

I MUST keep food in my stomach or else it comes back.

  • I think my all-day-off-and-on sickness went away (or calmed down incredibly) around the beginning of week 9.

You never know, good luck and go buy some Gin-Gins!

  • Week 10...still have it occasionally but on the whole, I feel WORLDS better.
