shower location

Since we recently moved from Minneapolis, I will be having a shower with my Minneapolis friends. The hostess does not have a large enough apartment to accommodate everyone and is looking for a location that would allow her to cater her own food. Any suggestions? TIA!

    Maybe a room at one of the suburb's community centers? You cannot do a restaurant because they will not let you bring anything in. I have been to some birthday parties at the center in Mounds View and it has been nice. GL!

    My sister actually had my bridal shower at the Tea Garden in downtown St. Paul. They actually closed the store to everyone but us and she was able to bring in all of her own food. Guests just bought tea/smoothies etc. It was wonderful. I am not sure if other locations would do this, but it was a cool idea.
