First round of Clomid starts today...nervous!

So, just took my first Clomid and am nervous.I'm most nervous about the hot flashes. Especially since I live in Arizona and it's so freaking hot right now anyway.

I know it's different for everybody, but if you've taken Clomid, how did you feel? Any tips for working through some of the side effects? How soon did you start getting them after taking the med?

Thinking cool (and fertile) thoughts for all!

    Other than the night sweats and hot flashes I felt good on it.

    The only s/e I had were the hot flashes and some mood swings.  I ended up taking the clomid at night (about 20 minutes before bed - recommended from another clomid user) and rarely had any hot flashes.  I wish I had a warning about the mood swings....the hubs was great, but a little alarmed by them.   LOL!

    I haven't done Clomid but just started Femara - my RE said to take it right before bed to reduce side effects..so far so good.  Hope its helpful for you

    First of all, good luck to you this cycle.  As far as the s/e from clomid - I had none.

    TTC since 3/07. IVF#1 = canceled. IVF#2 = 0% fertilization. IVF#3 = BFN. IVF#4 = c/p.  
    Moving forward with Adoption 2017!

    Hot, Hot , Hot....at night especially. I would wake up during days 5-14 every night so hot I felt like I couldn't breathe. This didn't happen until the 2nd cycle so I hope the Clomid works on your first try!!!!!! I didn't start to get "nasty" with the DH until my 3rd cycle.

     

     

    TTC since 2009 very frustrated 42yr and DH 40

    5 cycles of Clomid with satisfactory response=BFN's
    Fibroid removal Nov2010
    IUI Clomid #1 Feb 2011...BFN..damn it!
    IUI Inject's #2 Apr 2011...CANCELLED...low estradiol
    IUI Inject's #3 June 2011...BFN
    IUI Inject's #4 Sept2011...BFFN
    Lap Dec 2011...severe endo..cyst removed..some remains...
    IVF#1 Apr 2012 ....cancelled due to over suppression
    IVF#2 July 2012....6 follies...only 1 retrieved....BFFN
    surgery suggested to move ovary to an better placement but....we moved two time zones away and are financially and emotionally empty

    I didn't get the hot flashes, just some aggrivational headaches.  Just wanted to wish you good luck!
