And BIL may be losing his job...

Not a shocker if you have been following the continuing saga of my lazy-ass BIL who is married to my sister and father to my 6-month-old niece.

He was in the hospital the week of June 7th with a heart problem. Doctors cleared him to go back to work on June 14, but he didn't want to. He's been hanging out at home, going on vacation, going to the zoo, driving to the shore for seafood, etc., but is too sick/weak to work. Basically he's been off work for 3 weeks at a job he has been at for 3 months.

They got home from vacation yesterday and BIL called his boss to let him know he was going to "try" to make it to work on Monday. Boss told him he had reassigned BIL workload and they need to discuss his future at the company. If he does get fired, they are in deep sh!t. By sister only works part-time, they have no savings, and BIL doesn't qualify for any more unemployment benefits.

I saw this coming from your previous posts too. In this economy, with lots of people competing for jobs, companies have no problem replacing employees that obviously don't want to work.

I want to feel sorry for your sister, but in your other posts I've sort of gotten the impression that she enables this behavior. I really hope he can get his crap together for her sake and their kid, though. I'm sorry you have to watch this happening, I can't imagine how difficult it is.

I also saw this coming from your previous posts. And I want to feel bad for your sister, but she totally enables him to act this way. If he was cleared by his doctor to go back to work on June 14th, she should have made him go back, not gone on vacation with him. Where did vacation money come from?

Who I feel bad for is your niece. She doesn't have the option to choose her parents.
