Really?!? Is it possible my girls could be teething?

They are 10 weeks today. Over the last couple of days I've been noticing them drooling more, sucking on their fists, a little more congested, a little more crabby, and Tessa has been chewing on her tongue! I have taken my finger and felt on their gums, and I haven't really felt anything, but these sure seem like signs of teething. My MIL told me once that DH had teeth by 2 months old (I didn't believe her), so I guess it's possible? Anyone else have early teethers?

  • My DD went through the same thing with the crazy drooling and other signs early, etc, and my MIL also told me DH cut his first tooth at 2 months.    Alas, we did not see a tooth until 6-7 months!

  • Mine are doing the same thing.  Driving me nuts.  No signs of teeth.

But, some babies are born with teeth.  Weird, huh?

  • Mine did that around 3 months and it wasn't teething.  I think that some of it is just developmentally appropriate behavior and I think I also heard/read somewhere that their salivary glands start developing more around that time so that can account for some of the increased drooling.

Ditto this.  I was sure Noah was going to be a super early teether because of these same symptoms, but here we are at 5 months and still no sign of anything!

My first son didn't get his first tooth until 11 months!

  • Mine are doing the same things as well.  No teething yet.  When one of mine opens her mouth, you can see white where some of her teeth will form.  I asked the pedi if it's possible she's going to teethe already and she took a look and said no.

  • Mine started with this at 3 months...we didn't see a tooth til 6 months...GL...I was sure it was teething...
  • The boys started that around the same time, as I wasn't sure if it was teething or not so I bought Highland teething tablets which are 100% natural (I think or close to).

Zxavier had his first tooth poke through at 4 months and Tristan was a week or so after him so it can happen early...I have yet to meet someone who had a baby that had one at 2 months of age, but I'm sure it does happen :)
