I have three of them (one for grandma's and our 2 places) for DS...he LOVES it. You can look on Craigslist for some, I've seen them for around $50-$80 used. GL
From the website: What are the weight and size restrictions for Nap Nanny ??
The Nap Nanny ? is ideal for helping babies sleep, but we also want them
to be safe. For this reason we recommend the Nap Nanny ? be used for
infants that are 8 pounds or above, as long as they fit comfortably and
have adequate head and torso control. These weight limits were
determined after consulting with a number of Pediatricians.
Our product has no maximum weight restriction. As an aid for overnight
sleep and daily naps, the Nap Nanny may be used until your infant
becomes too active, or until they are able to sit up on their own
unassisted. Sitting up usually occurs somewhere between five and eight
months of age, however all babies develop differently. After this
developmental milestone is achieved, you may still use the Nap Nanny as a
sleep aid but only for fully supervised naps.
We want you to know that the Nap Nanny has many uses beyond sleeping!
It can be used as an alternative to the bouncy seat, as a place to feed
your child, have your child relax, read books, or watch television. It
is a recliner chair that grows with your infant and will be just the
right size for your toddler!
I too LOVE our Nap Nanny!! It has been a dream come true for our daughter who suffers from reflux. I have never found a product anything like it and have tried sooooo many others! We too have the Nap Nanny for grandma's house and even are considering getting another for our other grandma's house! I highly highly recommend it!
Re: the Nap Nanny
I'm lurking, but we have it. It was given to us as a shower gift.
Thank goodness for the lady who gave it to us. It is the only place DD will sleep. The first night we put her in it, she slept 8 hours.
I guess it depends on why you're getting it? We could have never afforded to buy it ourselves. We'd be screwed.
