I just took Leo's temp and it is 101.9. He sort of felt warm all day but I didn't think much of it because it is hot as crapper outside. He has been working on a few teeth for weeks now. He has one itty bitty tooth that has cut, I can feel it but can't even see it.
So how do you know if his temp is from teeting or actually being sick? Anything I can do for him other than motrin?

Re: Talk to me about teething and temps
I actually asked our pedi about this connection when Tyler ran a temp a while back. He told me that studies have shown that it's not unusual for a child to run a "low grade fever within a DAY OR TWO of eruption." To me, 101.9 isn't a low grade fever, and if you can't see/feel a tooth, I think the fever is completely unrelated to teething.
Tyler had a temp of 102 on Monday afternoon and was really crabby all day. I just gave him Motrin and a cool bath. He went to bed early that night and has been napping a lot. I think there is something going around......I hope Leo feels better.

Maybe his tooth was the culprit! I hope he feels better soon. Tyler's definitely teething but nothing is popping in yet.
Kids are so hard to figure out!

I think 101.9 might be a little high for it to be from teething. But it could depend on when you took his temp too...like if you had recently come in form outside, so he wasn't completely cooled down, or if you took it right after he woke up from a nap.
I feel like Motrin works best for a temp. Hopefully it's nothing big and he'll be feeling better in no time:)
