So sorry! I really hope that you get a BFP soon and get to move on... :-)
But, can I just say, that as a newbie, you are a really great person to have on the boards! You always have really great words of encouragement/support/etc. :-)

Honestly, that really is not a long time at all. We have been TTC for 3 years and TTCAL for 2.5 years. There are people who are on here who have been doing this for a lot longer than us!

Oh, I definately understand that there are ladies on here that have been on here much longer, and I don't have the right to complain. I guess I just hadn't thought about the amount of time we've been doing this, and it was just kind of a "hit me in the face" kind of thing. I'd rather keep thinking of time in terms of cycle days!

Of course suntoto is right, there are lots of people that have been trying longer. But it sucks every month, no matter how long it's been. It really sucks & that's all there is to it.

Um, no. You have not been trying for YEARS, so you really have no right to say that it sucks the same. Until you experience this pain and agony, then you can say this, but I HIGHLY doubt you will if you reach the YEARS mark. Don't trivialize the agony that others on here have been through just b/c you have only been trying for MONTHS. THAT is exactly what this post does and thus it isn't well said, it is hurtful to those of us who have been trying for YEARS not weeks and months. Seriously.

And the thing is - it's important to be sensitive to this - some people TTCAL for years afterward and watch others sail in, get pg again, and move on within 6 months. . . and that hurts.
And others bounce back and forth between the boards - and watch the TTCALers with whom they got pregnant give birth while they're still waiting. . . and oh my GOD does that hurt as well.
So 5 months sucks, I get that, but it's not the same.
I, by no means, meant to hurt or trivialize anyone's pain or agony. We all suffer in different ways, for different reasons. It is unfair that anyone has to be here.

i don't post on this or any of the boards much b/c i think posts and the written word in general can be taken the wrong way. however, i wanted you to know that i understand how you're feeling. it seems like you wanted some empathy, that's all
i don't think that anyone should trivialize the pain that anyone on this board is going through no matter how long that person has been ttcal.
