Mine are
"We have a cat!!" (We do indeed have a cat and I'm afraid she'll try to dart out the front door. My family and all of my IL's repeat this laughing every time anyone enters/exits our house!)
"In case there's a natural disaster!" (This is how I justify WAY overpacking the diaper bag every time we go anywhere)
Re: Do you have any "catchphrases" you always say?
I think I say No Worries a lot. I went to Australia and New Zealand for a month a loooooong time ago and it's been stuck with me since.
I say "If it was a snake, it would've bit you" a lot at home cause my husband is the epitome of looking in the pantry for something that's right in front of his face.
I say "Right" way too much. Kind of like Lindsey Lohan in Mean Girls, but less dramatic and more in agreement. Hard to explain, but you probably get the picture.
I always say to DH "Well, what if one of us dies?" in justifcation for planning out things and overthinking things way too much.
ETA: I also say "crap sandwiches" instead of swearing.Proud Mama to Mickey (12.03.09) and Nemo (06.06.13)
When I'm teaching I constantly say, "Excuse me" or "I'm sorry to interrupt buuut..." when there is too much talking...which is most of the time since I teach middle school.
And lately I say "yay!" way too much with Allison. Clapping is her new thing and when she started doing it a couple of weeks ago, I made the mistake of saying yay in a really happy, loud voice and now she expects me to do that everytime she claps or waves.
