So, how long did it take your LO to learn how to sit down?

after pulling up. J learned how to pull up last week and he just cries when he gets tired of it and wants to sit down.

    My LO started pulling up about a month ago and is now able to sit. He just sorta sticks his butt out and bends and falls down on his butt. Its cute, i guess he did it a few times and realized not to be scared?!

    Few days, maybe a week. It was as irritating as when she was a baby and would roll on her stomach and get stuck. LOL. But it didn't take too long. I helped show her how to sit each time I got her down.

    It took him about a week.  Now he pushes stuff up to the table and climbs on top of it LOL

    This is us too, but DD is not pulling up on her own yet. She just leans back or accidently falls down and we clap and say YEA!!! so she is not scared and she giggles. It took a few days and she was not afraid anymore.

    Not long!  Once she pulled up it only took a few days to learn to sit.  At first she would fall down and then pout but now she has a whole routine down.

    Thanks ladies! I'll try to make a bigger deal out of showing how to sit down on his own. He is definitely scared to try at this point.

    he started pulling up about 7.5 months. it took him 1-2 weeks before he could sit down. before then, he would just fall backwards. it was so scary!

    he started letting go and then slowly sitting down. it was so cute. now he just sits down really quickly.

    Immediatley, my smart little peanut! She just kind of lets go & falls on her bum. She's gotten more graceful over the past month, though, which is nice  :)

    Not long at all.  Maybe a week or two?  I can't really remember!  But I do remember having to help him at first.  He would get scared and cry until I helped him down.  LOL!

    pulling up started at 7 months and this week she just started plopping down on her butt.  its not consistent but she's starting to get it.

    A week at the most.  It was such a relief when he learned to sit down bc he kept standing all the time and then would start crying bc he didn't know what to do next.
