Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Recomend your baby carrier please!

So I have a infantino front carrier and I can use it for about 5 minutes and then it kills my back and shoulders, it was cheap and I'm not too suprised that it totally sucks.

My DS is almost 7 months and weighs about 19 pounds. I am planning to take lots of vacation time this summer, but will be taking DS out alone as DH will not have vacation time. At things like festivals I dont want to always have the stroller....so who has a carrier they love? Please recomend!

Also, LO likes to face out, so it needs to do that. Thanks!

  • I recently bought this one, and I love it!  Clicky

  • We just purchased the Chicco Aluminum frame backpack carrier. DH just wore it this past Saturday during a walk/run for Epelipesy Foundation and it was very impressed on how comfortable it was.

  • Ergo!

All the way, I love this carrier! Sorry, it doesn't face out.  If I'm carrying her then my back wins out, she doesn't seem to mind facing inward.

  • I just bought both the ergo and the pikkolo off of Amazon and will be returning the ergo because I love the pikkolo.  It is one of the few that you can actually use with a front-forward facing hold.  It's lightweight and really easy to use.  I highly recommend it!
  • Ergo! DS is 25 pounds and loves it! Babysteals.com has them today for only $70!
  • I have a baby bjorn and like it.  I don't use it a ton though, but don't recall it being too tough on my back.  Buy the more expensive one though from what I've heard (this is what I have).  It breathes better and is more comfy.
  • I have a homemade wrap and a mei tai. I love the mai tei because it's way easier to wear. I like the wrap because Ryan likes it better. We don't front face in any of them. We have a Bjorn that DH occasionally wears with Ryan front facing, but not very often.

  • Love the Ergo, but it doesn't front face. You can ewear it back pack style, though so that might work for you and Hip carry too! I think the Lillebaby might face out....
  • You need the ergo baby! It's a must. I know it's pricey but maybe you can get one used on ebay. I started out with the moby, then moved onto the bjorn with lumbar support but my dd was just too heavy and my sholders and back would hurt. Finally at 5 mths I got the ergo baby. Best carrier out there and my dd is now 21lbs!
