Re: what does your screen name mean?
In my bag: Canon 60D, 50mm 1.4, Tamron 28-75 2.8, 430exii
Mine is the beginning of both my first and last name and 18 is the day I was married--
I really wanna change mine to Sharebear or MySharona---I will probably do that soon and go back to a newbie!
Ivana Stolichnaya
Rhymes with 'I want a Stolichnaya' or please give me a drink! Corny but it originated from my college days of loving Vanilla Stoli and Coke.
i figured it was your name and i envisioned you to be exotic and rich. i guess because of the trump similarity i don't know lol!
Me, too!!
mine is the name of my favorite teddy when I was little. No one ever has it so i' just stick to it.
My real name is Abbie and when I was 5 years old a good family friend started calling me Abinormal and it has stuck as a nickname over the years. The name comes from a line in the movie, "Young Frankenstein",
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: [to Igor] Now that brain that you gave me. Was it Hans Delbruck's?
Igor: [pause, then] No.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Ah! Very good. Would you mind telling me whose brain I DID put in?
Igor: Then you won't be angry?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: I will NOT be angry.
Igor: Abby Someone.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: [pause, then] Abby Someone. Abby who?
Igor: Abby Normal.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: [pause, then] Abby Normal?
Igor: I'm almost sure that was the name.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: [chuckles, then] Are you saying that I put an abnormal brain into a seven and a half foot long, fifty-four inch wide GORILLA?
[grabs Igor and starts throttling him]
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Is that what you're telling me?
That was the first thing I thought of when I saw your name, Abbie! I LOVE that movie
Incidentally, my name is my first name (Erin) and I'm married to Aaron, who calls me his 'baby'.
Long time no see! Mine is what my DH calls me. Niki is my name (short for Nicole) and DH calls me his "bug" because I like to cuddle like a cuddle bug, so hence Nikibug!
ha..me too!
Shih Tzu Momma
When I first joined the Nest, I joined so I could post on the Pets board. Hence making my screen name about my pet, a Shih Tzu. We was my "baby" so I added momma to the end.
Misty, you have a really cool name! It sounds like the title of a book. lol
It has a few meanings. First, we live near the beach and we compete with our dogs, our kennel name is Seaside Vizslas. (www.seasidevizslas.com)
More specifically though, my name is Crystal Star, so shortened it's C. Star, or Sea Star. My last initial is R, and my best friend growing up always called me SeaStar R. I've always loved my name and I went by Star for 5 years when I was in college, my DH and his family and most of my friends met me as Star. In fact, all of the other message boards I chat on know me as Star. I always wear a crystal star necklace, have since I was a little girl.
430 is our wedding date.
Mine's sort of two meanings (or, can be taken 2 ways...)
First one - and this is the main one - I love dragons, and my name is Mercedes - so shortened down, mercy. So, I've got dragonsmercy.
The second one - and this is why it's arranged the way it is, rather than mercy dragons or anything like that, is I like the idea of dragon's mercy - as in a dragon has no mercy (in some cultures/stories, at least! hehe!). It reflects more upon my own temperament at times... and there are people I know in real life who will attest to that. They call me a cold, unfeeling b!tch... especially one of my ex boyfriends.
