We have membranes!!!

I know a weird title for a post. Ha!

After drama regarding the apt (missing order), we were finally able to be seen. After I tell the u/s tech our history, she begins the scan abdominally. I was surprised at this considering how far along I was. After she was unable to detect membranes abdominally, we decided to break out the dildo cam.

Both babies are measuring right on track and their heart beats were 173 and 174 respectively. She was able to detect a thin membrane separating the babies and brought in the peri to confirm. The babies were wiggling around, but one was sort of hiding. So baby B is going to be my shy baby. :)

She does believe that they will share a placenta, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. They will confirm that later on around 16 weeks.

I'm still in shock we are having twins. She didn't really print out any good u/s pictures for us. They still look like blobs. My next apt is on July 6th.

Oh and even with all the Reese cups I've eaten, I've only gained one pound so far. I was really proud of myself for that. Yeah for two healthy babies!
