So, my office has been experiencing what we call a "baby boomlet" with 6 of us having kids in relatively the same time period. My colleague who was technically due the day after me (with her second) gave birth this morning, and my other colleague who was due two weeks before me gave birth last night. I have 8 days left and am officially the last one to go. (the others delivered in April and May) I'm feeling a little lonely - but know that I will be thrilled to still be on maternity leave for a few days past when the rest of the peeps come back to work.
Of course, I'm going to acupuncture tonight (can't decide whether I should ask her to help me along), and I'm eating eggplant for lunch.
Neither will make the baby budge if she's not ready, I know.
Re: officially the last one
I agree, I think it'll be nice to be the last one to come back from leave - let them get back to work and back in the groove so when you come back you can just slide right in.
Here's to hoping you don't go too late!
