Sup girls! I am sitting here in my little cubicle, drinking my cuban coffee. I have a doctors appt today so I leave just after my next meeting. I wanted to say GOOD morning to you all and tell you all again how much I appreciate having you around. Here and on FB. It is INVALUABLE having a group of women and mommies as friends. I would be stumbling around in the dark without ya'll.
Smoochies and hugs!
So....whats new?
I went to Home Depot yesterday picked up some paint swatches/sample things! We are painting Isabelle's room a powdery pink. I am SUPER excited. I am in planning/research/preparing mode all of a sudden. I think I finally figured out that I have a baby in my belly. Haha.
Que pasa?
ox,
Mel
Re: Humpeth Day. Happy to you. :)
I look forward to seeing pics of the new nursery!!
How can I have a happy hump day with no humping allowed? LOL. The only reason that really sucks is because sex is always best for me when I am pg. Oh well...hopefully we will get the OK on the 8th and that is not super far away. Poor Josh.
I am trying to figure out what to do with my little man today but with how tired I was from yesterday I would love to just lay around in bed all day. It's scary to think that in 6 months this office I am in and typing from will be a nursery. I wish I could give my house some steroid shots and make it bigger
Beth, I just caught up on yesterday's post. Poor Josh and POOR YOU! I feel you on the whole sex during pregnancy thing. Not so much early in the game but lately....PHEW! Me likey. It was not this way with my first pregnancy at all. Abel calls me a sex camel but he is so full of crap. Hello, 1 to 2 times a week while working full time, being pregnant, and taking care of a 2 year old ain't too shabby!
Anyway. Sorry. TMI. I hope you guys can start making up for some loss humping time soon and I am glad everything is a-ok with your little bean.
I'm home on summer vacation. I forgot how nice this was since I usually work in the school office during the summers. I've been catching up with old friends and nesting A LOT. We also purchased the paint for the baby's room. I need DH to paint the ceiling and the walls, then I'll attempt to paint the cherry blossom tree. My registry is also done. I'm sure I'll make some changes here and there, but for the most part all the researching is done and it's complete.
My next summer project is to print pics of our trips. We traveled a lot in the last couple of years and never got around to making albums. I'd love to get that done before the baby arrives so that in the future she has a lot of albums of mommy and daddy and all the things we did before she was born so she can look at them. That's one thing I always wished I could see more of when I was little. Since my parents had to leave all their belongings in Cuba, there are only a few pics of them that other relatives had brought to the U.S.
Happy to you too
I'm alone - marc is in L.A. all week. I really enjoy the quiet
Big day for those of us into the world cup - i'm getting ready to watch the USA game - I'm super excited!!!!!
I'm enjoying the fact that I will be leaving this job in a week! Then I get a week off to try and catch up on my life at home. I plan on throwing out everything that isn't tied down! Looking forward to big changes!
Happy hump day!
Mel, YAY for nesting for Isabelle
So exciting! Any other nursery details picked out yet? Bedding? So fun. Is she getting new furniture or using Sophie's old crib?
Beth, just read your post from yesterday. I can only imagine how scary the spotting was. I'm glad everything is good with the baby though
The sex ban sucks but I'm sure you'll get right back on track as soon as the doctor okays it.
Adri, organizing all your pics now is a great idea. I tried to do the same thing before Emma was born but never got around to it and I wish I had. I now have maybe 3 times as many photos stored on my computer from Dec. 4th till now than I had from our entire first two and a half years of marriage! So now the task of organizing everything is even more complicated. So definitely try to get your pre-Elise pics done now! I'm so jealous of all you teachers on summer vacation
I know it's well-earned. Man, what I would give to have a few months off!!!!
Lee, DH is watching at work with his co-workers. Go USA!
Glad that everyone else is doing well too
Things are good here. Enjoying a rare slow day at work since my boss leaves out of town tomorrow. I'm leaving early today because MIL has a doctor's appointment so I have to relieve her of her childcare duties which I am more than happy to do. Emma has been beyond adorable the last few days. I didn't see much of her last week because I was working like a madwoman, so she developed total "mamitis"/separation anxiety/clinginess to me that she never had before. She was like that all weekend and well into this week including this morning when I was leaving for work. It breaks my heart to see her get upset when I leave, but it also gives me sooo much satisfaction to know that my little girl KNOWS me, KNOWS that I'm her mama, and knows that even though she may spend more time with other people than she does with me, I'm irreplaceable
Yay for nesting... I can't wait to see Isabelle's room. And Sophies new room with all her new stuff..
How did the dr appt go?
Im really trying to remember what everyone else wrote, but my mind is mush.
Adri, I am so jealous of your summer off..
Jen, YAY that your little girl "know you".. And of course she has always known you but it is nice for us as moms to actually see that they know us. OF course the crying stinks...:)
Im hanging in there.. Just feeling like dirt.
Happy Hump Day...
Hello ladies!!!
I just go home from picking up all the stuff for this Saturday's wedding. It's effin' hot out there!
Tomorrow is my 36 weeks appt. not sure if I should be expecting an internal or not but I assume we will find out tomorrow! My GBS was last Thursday and they haven't called about it so I'm assuming that means it was negative. we'll find out about that tomorrow too. My hospital bag is mostly packed the only things left are things I can't pack till the last minute so I made a list to go with the bag so I don't forget the last minute add ons. I'll be picking up the car seat tomorrow and that's the only thing we have left to get.
Tomorrow I'll also be getting a new "nephew"! My god-daughter's parent are having their second baby (a BOY!) via scheduled c-section tomorrow. She found out she was pregnant 2 days before my IUI. We;ve all been super excited since we usually vacation together etc. so the boys will each have an instant best friend
It's super convenient cause my appt. is at 11:30am so we'll just walk over to the maternity building after to see the baby!
