Video Chat on Base

My husband is currently out of state at another military base for training.  We usually use Gmail video chat to talk.  He tried using it today and is getting a message saying "Chat is blocked by Network Administrator".

Is the base maybe blocking google video chat? Is there another program we can use to video chat that works for you?

    Skype.  It's free.  Plus, if video chat isn't working, you can instant message.

    yes either skype or yahoo are both good ones, and like she said, you can IM too if the vid function doesn't work.

    We use Skype also. It works great to video with family back home, also.

    I would say skype as well! I know AIM has a chat feature so maybe that? If facebook isn't blocked you can always record video messages and leave them on there...not the same as live, but its something! Good luck!
