Bath Seat or Inflatable Tub?

It's time to transition my 6 month old DD out of her infant tub into something else.  She sits up for a short while on her own, but not for too long.

I'm not sure which would work better a bath seat or inflatable tub...

In the bath seat she wont really need us to support her, but with the inflatable tub it will save time and water not having to fill up to the whole tub.

 Any opinions?

We still use our bath seat, it has worked great for us.

  • We loved the inflatable tub as a bridge between the infant tub and using the whole thing. In fact, it's still blown up in our playroom, and my son likes to climb in and out of it and play with his toys while sitting in it. Random but fun for him!

  • We had the inflatable duck tub.  DS used it for a long time.

  • We used neither, we just filled the tub with an inch or two of water and ds loved to push himself from side to side on his belly.

  • We used the inflatable duck tub until DS got too big.  My sister loaned me her bath seat but we didn't end up using it much b/c the tub required so much water to get up to where he was in the seat.  The nice thing about the duck was that it didn't take too much water.  DS loved to splash and play in it.
  • We used the inflatable duck tub for DD and loved it. It eventually sprung a leak, though she was ready for the big tub at that point.

We can't use an inflatable for DS though because they bathe together and even if they didn't, DD would want the duck if we had one.

So DS just sits on top of a washcloth for extra traction and splashes along with DD.

  • Inflatable.  We used the duck tub until he was around 11 months, I think?

This. When we moved from the baby sling/seat in the tub we just went straight to the tub.  Since Abby is still so little she prefers to sit on her knees.
