Status Update: Where are you currently with the de/surrogacy process?

If anyone is in need of 2 vivelle patches, PM juliannat who has a couple left over. I sent her some of my extra vivelle so she wants to ?pay it forward? to another DE / GC check-in lady. Hopefully the luck will be passed along with them!

BRSaugust - I want to thank you for running the DE/GS check-in.
Status Update - Well, I haven't definitely decided to do OE one more time. I keep waffling while I wait to hear back from my RE and what protocol/DHEA he thinks I should do. But part of me wants the cycle of BFNs to end and to go ahead and do DE. And seeing the ladies here that are pregnant with DE and knowing in just a short amount of time, they will have their baby in their arms and that could be me makes me think we should just do DE.
And I am much more comfortable with doing DE now than I was a couple of months ago.
Congrats Char!! I'm so glad you got your first choice and so quickly.

My update: We've got TWO GIRLS!!!! I'm so excited I can't stand it! I did want a boy for DH, but DH is taking it so well, I think he's not too disappointed. How could he be?! We are really having two babies!!
GDFran, I don't know if it is because we were on TTCA35 for so long together or what, but I get all teary at everyone of your updates! Congrats on having two girls!
Update: We started with seven eggs, but only ended up with two embryos which was disappointing. We transferred both on Sunday. One was looking pretty good and one was pretty crappy. Considering we had four embryos last time and it didn't work, it is hard to be positive with just the two, but we will see. I am really trying to be optimistic.
njohnson - Good luck with your OE cycle.
Gymdog - 2 girls! That's awesome and you found out so early! We have to wait until at least 20 weeks for our big U/S to find out. Definitely looking forward to it.
Status Update - Not much here. This is my first time going 4 weeks between appointments and the wait is driving me crazy. I am glad we're doing better now, but I was definitely spoiled with the bi-weekly appointments! DH said tonight, "does it feel weird to have to wait so long this time? Don't you want an update?" Yep!
njohnson - glad to hear you are getting more comfortable with DE. You'll know when it is time to move on from your own eggs.
Fran - congrats on the 2 girls!! If your DH is like most guys I know, they will have him wrapped around their little fingers!
holly - hoping those embies snuggle in tight!!!
Update: I will have an NST and biophysical profile on Friday so we'll get to see LO on ultrasound again after such a long time! I will be having them weekly due to my AMA, my OB likes to watch more closely to make sure there aren't any fluid or placental issues.
Still feeling pretty good. We've done our childbirth and breastfeeding classes, toured the hospital and picked a pediatrician. One more class (newborn essentials) to go. I am trying to keep our last few weekends free so we can just relax and enjoy ourselves.

ichoosehope: welcome...I'm sorry you have to be here but it is a wonderful set of women!
So things are happening very quickly! I started my BCP's and I have ANOTHER hysteroscopy on 7/9! This is the one procedure that just makes m crazy and this wll be my third! I know it's good that my RE wants to be sure everything is aOK in there....but jeez! A of today it's looking like retrieval will be at the end of July with transfer early Aug...holy crap!
One thing that annoys me is the way my RE's office is set up...I love the nurses, love my Doc, but the insurance and finance peeps need to learn how to talk to each other instead of transferring us all around the office every time we call! It's like they hate each other and will not have any contact with the other one....kinda strange!
I have to admit that I skip the PG updates. I wish you all the very best, but I just don't have it in me yet to read them.
Went back to the MFM today because my hcg is still elevated. It's at 79, which is half of what it was the week before, but it's still too high. They did an ultrasound and didn't see anything worth having another D&C for. I'm still bleeding (it's been 4 weeks) so hopefully the last of the "remains of conception" are working their way out.
I also found out today that the baby we lost was a genetically normal male. Breaks my heart...we wanted a boy so bad. All along I thought it was a girl...guess my intuition sucks. My DH doesn't know and I probably won't tell him. They also gave me his tiny footprints.
So now we wait yet again for another round of bloodwork. AF isn't coming around any time soon.

njohnson - It sounds like you're doing a lot of thinking. I agree with august that you will know when you are ready for DE. I didn't think I would ever feel ready, but it just happened. I wish you peace with all of the decisions you're making.

And huge hugs to MarriedaSportsNut - I can't even imagine what you are going through, and I am so sorry for your loss and the pain you and your DH are enduring. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts.
Update: Everything seems on track so far. It's almost weird to have things go smoothly! I still have the feeling of "waiting for the other shoe to drop," just because of what we have been through to this point, but I keep reminding myself that this will hopefully be much different from cycling with my OE. I am feeling a deep sense of graditude for our donor and just trying to manage my anxiety about moving forward with everything. I appreciate being in the company of you ladies!
