Almost done with Day 1 of P/T

We have had a potty in the house for a few months now and recently DD picked out her own big girl underwear at the store. So this morning, DD didn't want to wear a diaper. She wanted to wear her big girl Elmo underwear. I have always said, once she wants to wear her underwear, we won't go back to diapers. I am so glad this day is almost over though. She has had 5 accidents so far and hasn't gone pee in the potty at all. I am looking for cues from her and putting her on every 20-30 mins and still had the 5 accidents. When she has gone in the past (randomly here and there) she has gotten a marshmellow, and I plan on sticking with that. I am so tired (and pregnant). I know that it will take a few days (maybe even a week?) for it to click, but please tell me it will get better...

It gets better. But it takes a couple of days. We were trying the 3 day p/t, but it just didn't work for us. Partly because I can't trail DD every waking moment. I have an infant, and we need to eat!

Day 1 DD had 6 or 7 accidents, and no successes - I have been calling that day an epic failure. But, it's been about 10 days, and while I'm not ready to call it a success, we've made HUGE progress.

Try your best to be patient. It is extremely difficult. DD goes from willingly sitting on the potty to wanting nothing to do with it - even though she clearly needs to pee. I don't always know what to do with her!
