DD "needs a bike"

in Toddlers: 24 Months+

DD turns two in a couple of weeks and when asked what she wants she reports that she "needs a bike".

Suggestions for best 2 year old bike?  trike?   What kind does your DC have and love (or have and never uses)???

Any help would be fabulous - I have no idea what to choose!

    We got a little Red Rider from Wal-Mart for, I believe, under $30.00. It's a tricycle and he loves it!

    It has a cute little trunk on the back so he can store some toys in it and does. 

    He also got a motorized toddler ATV for Christmas last year and enjoys playing on that a bit too. Although, that is simply pushing a button to motor forward and not really a physical activity like the trike.

    Cute.

    We have a tricycle that DS can not yet ride by himself. It was a hand me down and doesnt have the handle on the back, so I attached a belt and pull him around. Not a lot of fun for me. I wanted to get him a balance bike but so many people have said that he is too small (and short) for one this year.

    I wish that there was a bike that he could ride himself this year so I hope to get some ideas from your post.
