Cute Ideas for Baby Shower

Does anybody have any cute or fun ideas for baby showers? My mom and mother-in-law are trying to come up with some fun and creative ideas for our baby shower this April/May.  If you have any great ideas for locations, invitations, favors, themes, etc. that you'd be willing to share, we would love to hear them!  We aren't going to find out the sex of our baby as we want to be surprised.     My baby shower is this Saturday and I know I'm having a little girl so my theme is a Tea Party and Cupcakes... however, some really cute invitations I've seen are through Papyrus (not sure how pricey you wanted to go) but you can check them out online or at their store in Ross Park Mall. 

     A cute unisex shower for April/May would be to do an "April showers bring May flowers" theme... you can mix blues, greens, yellow - that would be cute.  For simple favors you can get oreos and colored chocolate (at like Michael's) in blue, green, yellow and dip the oreos in the chocolate and wrap in a cute pattern cellophane...

    At Kohl's they have Easter/spring plates out and right after Easter they will go on sale (we got cute cupcake ones from Valentine's day really inexpensive)   Hmmmm. Hope I gave you some ideas - these are just off the top of my head...

    Thank you so much!  I love your ideas!  I can't wait to pass them on to my mom and mother-in-law.  We've been trying to brainstorm ideas for the shower and I've been reading a bunch of different books and articles to try to get ideas.  I didn't even think of the April Showers bring May Flowers theme.  That's a really good idea!  Thanks again.     today I was in Carters and thought of another idea for your shower.  In going with the April Showers-May Flowers you can add in rubber duckies as a minor theme... I thought that would be cute if you're into the rubber duckies motif.

    That is a cute idea and I love the little rubber duckies! It would be cute to use them with the centerpieces I think.

    That will be really cute! Do you have a date picked out for the shower yet?  I'm sure as I'm doing random things I will think of other ideas - that is how my brain works anymore haha.  GL and post some pictures up after your shower!! :o)

    No, we haven't decided on a definite date yet, but my mom tentatively wants to book it for the last weekend in April which is fine with me. Smile  I'll probably be as big as a house by then, but hopefully the weather will be warmer and the fact that it's after Easter is a plus too! We are going to have Easter at our house for our families, so I know that will be a little bit stressful because I'll be doing most of the cooking.  After that, I'll have more time to focus on the shower and helping with whatever they will let me help with. Smile I'll definitely try to remember to post some pictures afterwards! You will have to post some of yours too! You already had it, right?
