anyone using a baby nurse?

Is anyone planning on using a baby nurse/night nurse during the first couple of weeks?

Re: anyone using a baby nurse?

  • If my insurance pays for it, I would happily do so

  • Never heard of it, maybe it's not something that happens out here, but I think I wouldn't get much use out of it. Especially if it's supposed to help you sleep more. I think if there's a crying baby in the house, I'll be up.  That being said, I'm probably going to have my mom stay with us for the first week or so to help out.  And DH is trying to save up some time to stay home the first week too.

  • I am a nurse! LOL

I will not be using a night nurse. MBD has already said he will get the baby and bring LO to me for night time feedings the first month or so, since I will be having a c-section.

My OB has a nurse that visits new moms. I will have her visit me to check my incision. I am pretty sure that the pedi I am looking at has a nurse that visits within a day or so of you being home. I am honestly not worried about baby. I will be more worried about me.

  • Nope, if I could do it on my own (well with DH's help) with triplets, I can do it on my own with 1 :)
