How often do you really use it? Also, are you a working mom or a stay-at-home mom?
I'm trying to decide whether we need a dedicated room for the toys or if I can stand living with them scattered throughout the downstairs like they are at the moment. Thanks!
Re: If you have a playroom...
I have a dedicated playroom downstairs; it is "supposed" to be the formal living room. I had a gate installed in the opening so the kids can't get out. We have used it every day that we've lived here (close to 1 year now). It's awesome!!!
Upstairs, we have a combo family room/playroom with their other toys in it. It's more adult with furniture and stuff in there but still lots of toys.
I like them having a room that it "theirs" that they can play in and do what they want. Their bedroom is upstairs so they don't play in there.
I'm a SAHM.
I SAH and we have a playroom AND toys scattered all over. The main thing I love the playroom for is having a place for big things... play kitchen, play tent, activity center, etc. Some weeks we use it every day, others we'll use it once.
We live in a 3 bedroom and I've been trying to decide if we will put DD2 in DD1's room and keep the playroom or give them each their own room and split the big toys between the two rooms. Right now I'm leaning toward keeping the playroom.
