Talking... or trying to

Evan has really been talking up a storm the last few days. He makes lots of mmmmmm, ooooooohhhhh, hhhhmmmmm, and bbbbbbbbbb (rasberry type) sounds. Sunday evening he started making noises like a rooster crowing. He gets sooooo excited and smiles and kicks his legs.

It is weird because it is a raspy sound that is between and happy and unhappy sound, but he always looks happy. It is almost like a scream, but not. He started to make himself hoarse yesterday after doing this for about an hour.

I'm glad he is using his voice and trying to talk. DH thought it was cute for the first 15 miutes and then asked how long this phase would last. Who knows, but it sure was cute.

  • It is super cute and it only gets louder and more frequent and then it turns into words and then sentences and then into conversations about nothing at all.  Enjoy it!

L is here... louder and more frequent. She screeches for an hour+ at a time. And it's completely awesome when they let you cut to the front of the line at the post office because they think she's upset Stick out tongue

  • Dylan went through a short period when he wasn't as "talkative" when he started focusing his energy on other new things, but he's back to "talking" again, making new noises and screaming.  It's so much fun!  I love this phase!  Enjoy it.  :)
