going rate for a babysitter

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
One of my friends called and said that she knows someone needing a babysitter for a 1 year old.  I contacted the lady and she wants me to shoot her a price for either watching her son all week or 3 days a week for the month of July and part of August.  I have no idea what to charge...help please? TIA

    It depends on your area, but we pay $35/day for full time care.

    My daycare lady charges $5/hour, or $35 for the entire day, after 7 hours.

    I was a nanny for 5 yrs. I charged 15$ an hour.  It really depends on the area, your responsibilities, if you bring your LO and you education and experience.
