When did you feel the baby move?

With G I was certain I felt motion at 17w. Well, I'm now 18w along and every time I "think" I feel motion it turns out to be gas. Lovely! At my last u/s at 16w, they also confirmed my placenta had turned to posterior (at NT it was both anterior/posterior) so that should've resolved the late feeling issue.

So how far along were you when you were sure you felt the baby move?

  • First one was 20 weeks, this one I was sporadically feeling light pokes around 16 weeks. I don't remember when it became more consistent, but probably between 18-20 weeks or so. Although, he still isn't a major mover (just like his sister). He has his moments but I feel like I go most of the day without feeling much. After dinner he has a party, but that's about it.

  • With D I was about 17 weeks when I felt kicks and movement.

This time I have started feeling movement around 11 weeks 3 days, not consistant and not kicks just flips and flutters. I don't know when I will feel it on a more regular basis, right now it is just a couple times a day.

  • Flutters at 16/17 weeks and definite kicks around 18 weeks.
  • 15 weeks with Sprout, 15w2 with Katie.

Hi A...think we are due around the same time and I'm actually starting to feel movements now. I also just had a doctor's appointment last Friday and dr mentioned that movements might be felt earlier than your first.

  • Definite movement starting at 19 weeks over here.
  • I think I was about 15 weeks when I felt the popping.  By the end of my 17th week, I felt full-on kicks.

  • I think I felt the first flutter around 19ish weeks. After 20, I definitely started feeling more of the light jab.
  • I was 18 weeks when I first felt O move, and was at 19 weeks when I could feel him more clearly.

  • I was 19 weeks with Ben and 14 weeks with Eve. With Eve it was very sporadic until about 17 weeks though.

  • Ok, all the later than 18w responses are comforting.
