Also, where are you going to deliver? I'm thinking of switching OB's because the nurses at my practice keep giving me wrong information. I live in Plymouth. Thanks!
I go to Dr. Neal & Sabbagh. It's Dr. M.H. Neal, his daughter Dr. Sandra Neal & Dr. Rita Sabbagh (my main OB is dr. Sabbagh). They are on Farmington Rd. just south of Plymouth in Livonia & I've been going to them since I moved here in 1998 (recommended by a woman from church). Plus I love the nurses there too.
They deliver out of St. Mary Mercy, which I had a wonderful experience w/DD. I've had to go to them as well w/this pregnancy and they have continued to be wonderful.
I went with Dr Gruskin with West Oakland OBGYN. She is in Farmington Hills and delivers out of Beaumont RO. I loved her! She was very nice, thorough, and straight to the point. The nurses are great too. She is the only dr that delivers in her practice but she works with a NP to help with her appointments. Both ladies are great along with the staff.
Also, I was impressed with the billing process - very fast That may sound weird but I've had problems with other dr offices in the past that dont send a bill until months later or send multiple bills for the same service.

I am actually happy to see this, hopefully her office practices have changed since I had DS. Dr Gruskin was my dr when I had DS and I will not have her deliver another child. Appointments where not even close to being on time. I always made sure my phone was fully charged because I needed something to kill the time. They couldn't figure out how my double insurance coverage worked, I will giving it was confusing. However after the 5th time I explained it, I would of thought they would of understood how it worked.
I was admitted to the hospital when I about 35 weeks. The antepartum ward was waiting for her sign off to let me go home. It took her several hours to see me at, sign the stuff for me to go home. One of the nurses said under her breath that I would probably be waiting on her for awhile. She was however very prompt when the attending ob, decided I needed a c/s. My incision is beautiful from it as well. However I strongly feel that she pushed me to be induced at 39 weeks, because she was sick of dealing with me. I was having complications that made me very uncomforable. They where not complications that had any threat to my health or DS's.
If you are willing to consider a CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife), I recommend Lynn Rife in Canton. I switched to her early in this pregnancy and I have not been disappointed! I'll be delivering at Henry Ford West Bloomfield.
Metro Partners in Women's Health in Novi. I see Dr. Lacoste, but have seen a lot of the other docs there as well and absolutely love them all! They have 3 CNM too, if you want to go that route. I will deliver out of Providence Novi. Good luck!
