Does anyone have recommendations for an in-home daycare in the Lansdale area? My husband is a nurse and only works 3 days a week, so a conventional daycare would not work for us. We are looking for a daycare with flexibility as my husband schedule changes week to week.
Re: in-home daycare Lansdale area
I've been frustrated with going back to work and was thinking of starting my own. I teach and will have off with LO all summer so I'm a bit nervous about how I'll grow the cahones to go back to work this fall.
I have seen some on Care.com. There is one lady who is across from the high school.
I live in Montgomeryville, and found a woman in my neighborhood who does in-home daycare. I've had my 16 month-old there since he was 5 months, and I can't even tell you how happy I am to have found her. Our #2 who is due in November will be going there too when I go back to work.
Turns out, she is part of a company called Monday Morning Moms...which is a company that brings together private childcare providers and kind of 'oversees' everything from a business aspect. I'd check out their website and call them to see if there are providers in the area who have openings. Not sure how flexible the providers are with part-time versus full-time, but I have to imagine some have that flexibility. I have been very very happy with the set up, my contact at MMM, and most importantly, my childcare provider. Cost is comparable to daycare (a bit cheaper than some), and since you pay MMM (not the childcare provider directly), there are a lot of easy things about it (such as online bill pay, tax help, etc).
Here is their website. If you call and talk to someone named Alicia, tell her Sarah (Ryan's mommy) recommended!
Good luck!
