We spent our weekend cleaning up wet spots on the carpet and changing Elizabeth's clothes constantly. Is it bad that I'm unfazed by it all? Like everything else, PTing just seems less stressful the second time around.
If you're in the throes of it with a young 2yo, what do you think motivates them? Sarah had just turned 3 when we went through it the first time. It feels really different to attempt PTing with a 28 month old.
If you've already trained your 2yo, roughly how long did it take them to learn to hold their tee tee?
Re: PTing Part Deux
A week's not bad! Did you keep him in big boy underwear the entire time except for naps and bedtime?
I don't think I can get away with doing the candy because of Sarah. I don't want to listen to her fits over the treats she won't be getting.
About 2 weeks, though after the first day she was down to only 2 accidents a day for those 2 weeks.
And I agree, her being naked really did help a LOT.
She mostly used the potty seat on the toilet, but we soon introduced potty chairs too. I would take one outside with us so she didn't have to interrupt her playtime too much, and I'd even set one in the living room if her favorite TV show was on.
Aw, I don't think it's you at all. You just described Sarah's adaptation to PTing for the last year. It's only now that she's really starting to use the potty without much prompting, although believe me - I still prompt when I realize it's been a couple of hours and she hasn't gone lately.
