Pray that your child's schoolmates never discover his 1908 campaign song, "Get on a Raft With Taft."
And now I've got Little Feat's song my head. "Cause there's a fat man in the bathtub with the blues... I hear ya moan...."
Thanks for the giggle!

Poor gal, but she did ask for opinions. Whatever floats your boat though. In school we had a girl named Pleasure and guy who's last name was prounced "fu#k". They were made fun of a lot. Kids are cruel to other kids sometimes. Taft wouldn't be so bad if the instant image you get in your head is that of the biggest president that we've had so far.

I can't get over the fact that she never heard of the name before.... I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and hope she meant she never heard it used as a first name.
haha. my mom and aunt were just saying the other day that we need to ask their generation for input on baby names b/c we're picking names that are funny, but we have no clue why. for example, a friend's daughter of my aunt named her daughter clara belle. my mom and aunt started cracking up and i was like, what? apparently clara belle was some sidekick on the howdy doody show...
Re: Heinous C&P from baby names...
