Mini vent & I love my DH :)

My stupid insurance contract doesn't cover midwives but they have preferred providers on their list when you search their site for providers in the area.  That confuses the crap out of me and doesn't make sense.

I texted DH about it and told him I felt like crying about it.  His response "Just write down everything you want from this and we'll talk to him (the OB) about it.  It'll be ok. I won't let them shoot you up."

LOL

    Huh?  I never even thought about that.  I had somewhat planned to use a midwife when I have my phantom kids.  I should probably look into that now since I am interested in natural childbirth as well.

    I'm going to call back and see if I get someone different and a different answer but I'd definitely call now if I were you.  I was shocked when she told me that.

    I am definitely going to look into it.  I am such a planner that I hate when things come up that I didn't plan for.  Hence the reason it has taken me as long to almost feel okay ttc.

    I hope you get all your insurance woes straightened up.  I can come smack them around for you if you would like give me about three hours to drive there.  Stick out tongue

    We have BCBS from Alabama so you wouldn't even have to head this way :)

    Woot.  That is even closer.  I can be to Ala in about 1.5 hours.  I have BCBS out of TN so I am really wondering now.  I will call later on when I am not at work to let coworkers overhear that convo and really get confused.

    I'm about to call back and ask if they don't cover it why it showed 12 midwives in my area that are "preferred providers" when I looked it up online. It doesn't make any sense.
