Dentist Recs in Troy area?

I've been going to Family Smiles off of Auburn Rd. & Crooks for 2 years, and I decided I don't like Dr. Matievich very much because he's very abrupt and quick with his exams, and doesn't really listen to what I'm saying.  Plus if you're making that much money, you really should update your office a little bit!  I feel like I'm back in the 80's when I go get my teeth cleaned.

I'd like to find a new dentist in the Troy or Birmingham area.  Does anyone have any good recommendations?

  • I've been going to Dr. Mansky for quite a while.  I love them.  I grew up in Troy and now live in Rochester Hills so we're still close.  His office is at Long Lake and Rochester Road in the plaza with the secretary of state and honeybaked ham store.

Highly recommend them... and this is coming from someone who HATES going to the dentist.

  • If you are willing to go to Royal Oak, Dr. Denise Acierno is awesome.  I used to live in Seattle, and I would fly back to have her do my work!
  • Dr. Brian Kacy in Troy on Square Lake and Livernois.
  • When I was growing up in Troy I went to Dr. Caris.  He and the whole office staff are GREAT!  They're on the east side of Troy, but in a new office from where I went when I was young.  I'm sure if you google him, you'll find him.
  • We found Dr. Raffi Belian at Rochester Road in Troy to be great with my whole family from newborn to my dad who absolutely hates to go to the dentist.  Very gentle, really good.  His website is www.drbelian.com
